was asked about Jeff Gordon and crew…

"well, he’s a great driver with a great team, and they’ve raised the mark
of competition, and we have to step up to it…"
"…of course, he has age on his side, but there’s some younger drivers
coming up, too… Dale Jr, for instance…"

Man, the ole Intimidator smile sure shows when he’s talkin about  Lil E.
I don’t think he coulda grinned any wider.
I just hope Jr can live up to the Man’s expectations… And that of DE fans
everywhere, like myself.

he’s got some really big shoes to fill, that’s for sure.
