The more I read, the happier I am about the Poconos. The price went up this
year for infielders wanting to go to the grandstands for any reason
(qualifying, ARCA race). A pit pass was required, but the new garages
allowed fans to see the teams at work. The RV is still the best place to
watch the race, as most people next to us come back from the stands by half
way through the race and climb up on the roof. The reserved infield spots
are the secret. Just $100.oo more than a regular spot, but the view is great
and no tickets are needed.
<hkel...@AThawaiiDOT.edu> wrote in message > It was bad enough for me as one

person, but now with six of us flying from

- Hide quoted text -- Show quoted text -
> Hawai`i, It's cheaper to spend $1,958 for an RV on the back stretch.
> Aloha, Henry
> *~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*
> ~ Special Xmas offer for rasners & DeadHeads: 100% Kona Coffee ~
> * $20/lb @ my cost plus $3.20 U.S. Priority Mail Shipping *
> ~($1.10/adlb) 'Til Dec 21st for Xmas delivery email me 4 details~
> *~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

>It looks like the Homestead track is pioneering a new way to screw the
>fans.

>They are dividing their customers into two groups–those who buy Truck
>Series and Cup/Busch tickets in equal quantities and those who don’t.
>The entire first group is processed/upgraded before any orders from the
>second group are processed.

>It’s bad enough that you still have to buy the Busch race to get a Cup
>ticket for the same weekend, but now they’re making you buy the truck
>race (February) to hang onto good seats for the Cup race (November).

>Wonder how long it will take for this disgusting practice to become the
>industry standard…..

>This and the "no cooler" rule are two good reasons I’ll never show my
>face at that track.

Seems like its becoming a common thing to do for CTS/BGN events; NHIS
instituted a similar thing that got the goat of a friend of mine down in
Jersey. He’ll be spending his bucks at Stfford Motor Speedway and New Thompson
Speedway instead of up there, instead. He and I are both kind of angered the
the Modified race is a stand alone on Friday of that weekend and that BNS and
CTS will be run together. My suspicions are that NASCAR’s going all out to
subtly kill off the Modifieds as a viable series.

> This and the "no cooler" rule are two good reasons I’ll never show my
> face at that track.

Let’s not leave out the part about how they screwed the handicaped fans
by refusing them access to the special parking areas forcing those in
wheelchairs to get across gravel parking lots.I hope someone sues the
living **** out of them for that. I had originaly planned on attending
the debut Cup weekend but after getting some bad reports about the place
I decided against it. Looks like I made the right descison.
