NASCAR and Stockcar Racing

Texgas RPG – McCoy

1a – Jimmie Johnson keeps the points lead.

2 – Biffle wins.  He runs this track pretty good, and he’s hot this
year.

3 – Sadler top 5.  He also runs this track good – besides the win
last year, he’s had a couple of strong runs end with accidents.

4 – Mayfield top 5.  The car’s looked strong at times, they need
to get a whole race together tho.

5 – Earnhardt overtakes Harvick in the points.

1b – 1a is an obvious gimme, I just put it there to see if anyone
would point that out without reading down to here.  So the actual
prediction is Johnson finishes outside the T10.

Bonus – Kahne gets his first win with Mayfield in 2nd.

    No-one bit.  Rats  :-(

I think we should start a seperate championship for correctly
    predicting race winners  :-)   +1

Nope – looked like he was making a charge back until the motor
    broke.  -1

Same deal – great car for the first third and the last third of
the race, but they screwed up the middle third and couldn’t get
    back.  -1

Nope – Earnhardt faded, and Harvick put on quite a late-laps
charge (altho the TV didn’t really show it).  So Earnhardt
    didn’t gain enough.  -1

Sure looked like I’d get this one in the early parts of the race.
Impressive late race charge – if there’d been 30 more laps I think
Johnson would have caught Biffle.  -1

For the first 100 miles, I though this one might actually happen.

    Total -3.

As someone else said in another thread, it takes courage to
name the winner in advance, with no "outs."  I wouldn’t score
a prediction like that a gimme.

Tim, you copied Cru’s post but didn’t add your own comments.

Briefly breaking my vow against using ESP when dealing with
mere mortals, I now see that you meant to say, "That sounds
like a great idea.  She sure would beautify the tracks."  :o)

Agreed,  might be the best idea you’ve had yet  :-)
