Just wanted to take a moment and thank all the people at ESPN who have made
twelve years (for me) of watching nascar so entertaining. I’m going to miss
Bob, Benny, Ned, Bill, Dr. Jerry and all. They did a great job. I know
they probably won’t ever see this, but I don’t care. Kudos to them all!
And even if I don’t see them calling races anymore, they have left a mark of
the sport.

Agreed.
I imagine that we haven’t heard the last of some of them. I’ll
bet that some will find spots at the new networks or on MRN.
Mebbe ESPN will keep a NASCAR commentary show going, too.

You’re a tick premature here. ESPN will be back next season. The new
Fox/NBC thing doesn’t take effect until the 2001 season.

Before you buy.
ESPN still has next year on their contract. The new TV contract doesnt start
till 2001. Thats why I’m not nervous about NBC or Fox there is still a year
for them to get their act together.
