Number of cars in NASCAR race

Filed under: Uncategorized — admin @ 8:54 am

I am new to NASCAR and have a question. Seems all races have car initially
in pairs on track except for
the last row which has only one car. Why it that?

Tony and lessons in diplomacy

Filed under: Uncategorized — admin @ 8:54 am

I listened to Tony sitting on the war wagon before the race and I might have
missed it.  Did he actually apologize for anything?  All I heard was him using
the same, tired old excuse that "Im very competitive by nature so that gives
me the right to go nose-to-nose with Gary Nelson."  Arguing your case is one
thing, having to be pulled away from the series director by your car owner and
crew chief is another thing entirely.

And one point of clarification here as to something Mr. Stewart had to say
about the whole thing.  He said he was fined because he drove below the yellow
line.  Wrong!  He was black flagged for driving below the yellow line.  He was
penalized with the loss of twenty spots because he chose to ignore the black
flag.  He was fined and had his probation extended (big fat hairy deal)
because he went toe-to-toe with Gary Nelson outside the NASCAR trailer,
letting the entire world watch the whole thing on television.

Harvick

I suppose the naysayers will say that Harvick was given the race, too,
seeing as how it was an inaugural, etc……………..

POWERS MOTORSPORTS/5 STAR LIGHTING AND RECREATION DODGE NASCAR CRAFTSMAN TRUCK
KENTUCKY SPEEDWAY REPORT

ATTRITION, ATTRITION, ATTRITION

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
CONTACT: Richard Weber

Ric…@raceconsultant.com

SPARTA KY. (July16, 2001)- Surviving the attrition this weekend was the key
to the #55 Powers Motorsports best finish of the 2001 season. Starting on their
time from the 31st spot, driver Tom Powers was able to stay out of harms way
and bring the 5 Star Lighting and Recreation Dodge home to a 20th place finish.

A new paint color was unveiled this weekend with quite a different look from
what we had in the past. "We had a quite a bit of body work to do this past
week to make sure we got through tech" said owner/driver Tom Powers." I am glad
we kept it in one piece after all the cautions we had tonight" The new color is
a solid turquoise as compared to the blue/black paint scheme that has been run
in the past.

The # 55 Powers Motorsports DODGE continues to be in the top 30 of owner
points. " Sponsorship is the key to us finishing out the season." said Richard
Weber, Director of Team Marketing and Promotions, "So far this season the team
has made 11 of the 12 races it was entered in, all without the help of
corporate sponsorship."

The 14th race of the 24-race season will be in Loudon NH on July 21st with
the Winston Cup event the following day.
Any interested parties should contact Richard Weber at Racing Consultants.

Filed under: Uncategorized — admin @ 8:52 am

Hmmmmmm….
Wonder if/when we will see a 3 car again?
If it is black it will be sacrilegious and if it
isn’t black it will be sacrilegious… ‘take a
strong willed team to use it also… thoughts?

Go #2, 18 & 10

Nascar e-mail?

Filed under: Uncategorized — admin @ 12:25 am

I’m looking for an e-mail address where I can write to complain to them
about the TS penalty.  I couldn’t find one on the site.  Thanks to anyone
out there who could provide it.
