Sanctioning Bodies for Racing
Provisionals in 2000
I think that 2000 is going to be a very interesting season with the
provisionals. You have a bunch of new teams running WC on regular
basis this year (DE Jr., Kenseth, Robby Gordon, etc) and no announced
retirements. Most weekends, you may see 50+ teams trying out for the
race. Provisionals will be at a premium.
Will this be the season when NASCAR has to tell a "big name" driver
that they will be having a weekend off?
NASCAR Merchandise???
Anyone know where I can find a twin sized set of Mark Martin sheets at a
low price that will deliver by Christmas????? Help, help, help!

Lull in the action
There seems to be a BIG lull in the posts!… posts!…posts!…posts!(echo)
Does this lull have to wait for February?
Ending under Caution
The 3 would just hit everyone in front of him until he is in the front. I
like a race to the end but some exciting races have ended under caution.
Jeff Burton to name one.
Also I saw on Jayski the 24 team got the 43 crew chief. Alotta shaking the
tree going on over there. Also read Everham and wonderboy split up the Busch
team.

I generally try to stay out of the "Driver so and so
is an idiot" type discussions, but after seeing what
Irwin did today, and watching him for several years
I have to wonder what his problem is. I bet I know
who gets the rolling pin award this week!

Need Info
I didn’t get to see or hear the race today but I saw on NOL the 24 out
at lap 181 with engine problems. That’s at least 2 this year, which I
think is 2 more than the rest of his career combined. What happened?
Hendrick has enough problems without Randy Dorton havin’ a come-apart.

Just wanted to take a moment and thank all the people at ESPN who have made
twelve years (for me) of watching nascar so entertaining. I’m going to miss
Bob, Benny, Ned, Bill, Dr. Jerry and all. They did a great job. I know
they probably won’t ever see this, but I don’t care. Kudos to them all!
And even if I don’t see them calling races anymore, they have left a mark of
the sport.
